We built this folding pad for diaper changes on the move, with a solid pink exterior and an inner surface that wipes clean. Two cargo pockets hold spare diapers and cream, while the outer wipes pod opens directly from the front so you do not have to unpack the mat to pull a wipe.

How this one is put together

The wipes pod
We stitched the wipes compartment on the outside with three expanding gussets. You can reach into the pod and pull a single wipe while the rest of the pad stays folded shut in your bag.
Cargo pockets
Two deep pockets sit along the upper section. They hold several diapers, a tube of diaper cream, and a rolled onesie without bulging awkwardly when you fold the pad together.
Wipe clean surface
The inner changing area uses a water resistant coated material. Spills stay on top of the fabric rather than soaking in, so you can clean the surface with a damp cloth or baby wipe.
Strap and fold
The mat folds down into a compact clutch shape. We sewed on a top grab handle alongside an adjustable buckle strap that clips around a stroller bar or through a car seat handle.
